Mr Youssouf Moussa Dawaleh, the current President of the Djibouti Chamber of Commerce, is one of the leading figures of the Djiboutian business community. Mr Dawleh holds a degree in International Business. In 1988, he launched his business activities, and his first company specialized in the import-export of food products.

In 1994, attracted to the fishing industry, he took over the management of the Boulaos Fish Market and started to export fishery products to neighbouring countries. Mr Dawaleh is a polyglot and is gifted in establishing lasting contacts. He took up many challenges while diversifying his activities and with the founding of the Dawaleh Construction Company. Dawaleh Construction becomes one of the pioneer companies in real estate development in Djibouti.

From 1993 to 2003, under the leadership of then-president Mr Said Ali Coubèche, Mr Dawaleh
was an Associate Member of the General Assembly of the Djibouti Chamber of Commerce (CCD). Man of action, Mr Youssouf Moussa Dawaleh, President of the Chamber of Commerce since December 2013, uses his best efforts to further the interests of the private sector and contributes to the country’s economic development through the Djibouti Chamber of
Commerce.

Since July 2019, Mr Youssouf Moussa Dawaleh is the Chairman of the Pan-African Chamber of
Commerce.
